Pangani, on the Indian Ocean. We had met this biker on his way from
Nairobi to Zanzibar. He took a fisherman boat here for the few hour crossing.
Zanzibar can't be seen from Pangani? The opposite ground on the picture is
just the other bank of the Pangani river.
south of Pangani, not much there. Luckily for the villagers, there is a
coach once in a while.
not always a good idea to follow a railroad track on a heavy bicycle.
At least you can't be lost of course but the side tracks are not always
as good nor wide as on this picture! All trains in Tanzania, and
probably in Africa, are still diesel-powered.
