for those who follow, I had been on a flying medical trip in Loliondo and lake Natron in March, with Ezra, a fellow pilot from my old team of Flying Medical Service. I had already published by then some pictures but all were digital. These below are from films, straight out of the camera except some contrast corrections, as I would have done in the dark room.

a Masai woman with hair means the child is less than one year old and hasn’t received a name yet. The process is very important and the people don’t waste first names away. Since they know by experience that one year means better chances of survival for a toddler, they just wait. Then she’ll shave again.
