that was in April 2010, a snow storm had covered the area just before we arrived. That was a superb feat in itself as I miss snow big time, I hadn’t touched snow in 15 years basically, and on top the sun shone like hell. Perfect day to spend in Bryce Canyon, Utah.
these below were shot in Kodachrome 64 and with Leica M6. Sorry if I bother you with camera and film type, but for the photographers, amateurs or pros, the subject can be interesting or even hot. Also I am personally very happy to keep on shooting on films too, to help the film survive by using it and talking about it. I didn’t become a film hater…
superb birch trees. We only spotted them in high altitude.
some parts of Bryce kept the snow quite well…
..whereas other parts looked snow free.
so I missed snow, but even when I saw snow in Belgium last time, that was still only in towns or maybe a park or a meadow. Nothing like such vistas in Belgium!
near sunset, long shadows…we left and slept in a lousy village called Tropic. Well the place itself was not so bad, but the people we met at the motel were a bit on the retarded side… it was one weird thing to close down restaurants at 8 pm but to give no notice whatsoever to guest? Luckily we had some junk food in the car…
