this young mother is probably from the Sonjo tribe, to be found in the Sonjo Valley, west of lake Natron.

and this warrior though very similar to a Maasai one is also Sonjo. I was told they used to fight a lot over the centuries but the Sonjo realised they were a a lot less numerous so they decided to dress like their enemies to avoid being sighted far away on every opportunity. Nowadays they’re living kind of peacefully. That long strip of metal on top of the head is definitely the main difference between these warriors.

 

I suspect this one is Sonjo too, because of the contraption on his head, it looks like a metal strip support.
