digital pictures with Nikon D200, before my new D300s.
forget the shitty politically correct concept, these are facts in Africa…like the pictures below: some men hanging around in pubs or just on the street pavements if they are too broke and doing just nothing, even they pretend they’ve been busy trying to sell a goat all day as an excuse. I’m still waiting to see women having the same right too…
and this is not a counter example, she is just having a sugar cane juice for no more than 5 minutes. By the way, I like the ‘convertible’ niqab (or whatever that veil is called): she is normally fully covered, only her eyes are shown till drinking. Then she flips the thing up but doesn’t even try to hide.
these young girls seem eyeing the western style, jeans and t-shirts but a veil is still compulsory.
Laurel and Hardy…
colorful clothing but strict cut.
I like this one with the pin up on the paper whereas the reader is more conventional. One needs to be quick to get such a picture.
more colors
cliché or postcard I know but this is still nice to see such a spectacle. Better this than traffic jam in Belgium…
Amazing shots!
it is amazing how you catch those moments that bring the whole photo alive! have you taken any photography class in the past? I am sure it's the matter of practice and experience, but sometimes you are too good.
I still didnt get a chance to start my hunt for your hippo photos, hopefully will get a chance in August.
How is life in Arusha? Peaceful? still cold?
Do you still do trips to the Sahara desert?
have a grand weekend!
