lake Natron is one of the driest and hottest and most inhospitable places in the Rift valley of Tanzania. A few pockets here and there do better than others because there is a waterfall and a river nearby like here, Pininyi on the western shore of lake Natron. The lake is salted so even the rivers are only useful near the waterfalls before they get mixed with salt. So usually this area is characterized by mostly yellow or brown tones around, due to heat, dryness, dust, sand, brown leaves…but after a good rainy season, one can be surprised by appearance of new plants and colors.
life will be quite different for a very short time before the sun dries up most of these plants and grass. In the meantime, goats and cows make the most of it.
the slopes of the Rift got some colors too.
pfff... c'est même pas réel ces images.... Lol.
J'adore.
