Pininyi, on the western shore of lake Natron is a busy village, though one wouldn’t guess from the air. I had seriously enjoyed flying down and through a sinuous narrow gorge just before landing. 2 of my medical passengers enjoyed that rock’n’roll flight and one even thanked me (that only would have made my day!). Another one was initially scared and hit my shoulder with his head while opposing the bank in a steep turn, haha. But he admitted had been an enjoyable new experience after all. Newly converted.
the place is so dry, so hot and still some mothers wrapped their kids in blanket or with woolen hats. A bit puzzling. Having said that, I’ve spotted some adult males with woolen hats too. Well men are said to be big boys…
Maasai warrior passing by. The cliff behind shows we are here located at the bottom of the Rift Valley.
