I wrote in some previous posts that there were some differences in jewels amongst Maasai people living within the same big district. Here is the Purko clan, roughly West of Loliondo I’ve been told by a Maasai nurse. Colorful jewels and simple manufacture. I remember years back I was showing potential ‘models’ some pictures that were to be delivered to previous models. it helps to show I can be trusted when I promise a personal print to each model. It also brings some good laughs and good mood. But above all, I was surprised that everybody could recognise everybody’s origin by a glimpse at jewels or clothes.
