since 2008, the grass hasn’t been able to fully reclaim the land. The ash layer was so thick, up to 40 cm witnessed by friends. Maybe the scientists got thicker figures…
lower right part of the picture, that little tuft of grass appeared last year after some showers. First a puddle, then vegetation. Pretty unusual.
here the grass seems coming slowly up.
but elsewhere, there is still a long way to go.
