This used to be an airstrip on lake Natron shorelines. One day, some serious maintenance was to be done and at the same time the “bush urbanism” was revised too. So for the village to expand and our flying needs to be met, the villagers preferred to rebuild a new one a bit further. The old is slowly becoming the main street with a bar, a shop or 2, built in some more modern way than plain hut.

Chinese or Indian motorbikes have been heavily imported lately (and they contribute to curb the galloping demography) and are to be seen in some remote parts of Tanzania, without even proper dirt tracks, but where jobs are available like in mining or touristy areas. Still a novelty for many bush people, like Masai women above.
