Pepsi is quite present, but far behind Coke of course. Their trucks are worn out, the engine quite old and underpowered and in turn they’re often creating traffic jams on the hill nearby our place, either by being too slow or just breaking down. Coke is well run as usual (I'am not on their payroll)
On Sundays, pavements and shop front walls are invaded by various sellers.Travellers are often tempted to show poverty and exoticism in their holiday pictures. But to be fair there is a lot of western culture and fashion and goodies around in Arusha.

I admit that the city council, for once, impressed me some years ago by choosing bright colors to repaint the Stalinist grey tones and this on a regular basis. Some people managed to complain of course. Where the dark clouds hang on lies the hidden Mt Meru.
