being a bit lazy, here are some pictures, no theme attached.
A Mang’ati woman proudly holding 5000 Tanzanian shilling, that is about 3 $. She wanted the shot as it is, not me...
A corrugated church near Arusha. Some preachers want their own churches to skim gullible people here too. Lessons taken from US colleagues and TV evangelists...flocking idiots are universal after all. Miracles are even promised every Friday in a church nearby. Payment required of course but no bill and no refund. As a whole there are anyway too many churches around with too little attendance.
An original tatto: the African map filled in with the Tanzanian flag. Half hidden is the Tanzanian map.
Masai woman day dreaming in the Rift Valley.
2 kids proudly showing their home made wheel barrows.
Flamingoes on take off while I come for landing, lake Natron.
An aerial morning view of Mt Meru and a bit of Kilimanjaro. That aerial view pays off for the early wake up call.
I see shapes in clouds and here I see Nefertiti. The huge dark blue spot would the hat. There is a high shoulder, a white eye with blue eye brow, a blue nose, a blue mouth…Salt pattern on lake Eyasi.
View from my hospital room where we spend some nights here and there.
Masai lady going home.
Masai man distorted by the heatwaves, shot far away at 400mm.
Remote bush in the Rift, I’m nearly jealous of this Masai warrior’s bike. I’m not sure he is jealous of my aeroplane…
These umbrellas are all over the place nowadays.
A bush prison. It doesn’t look too hard to escape…
How to load a Land Rover… No wonder local people find white expats or tourists selfish when we drive by, always empty by their standards… One per seat is still a sci-fi concept here.
