a Battersby green snake lives in the same tree, bad news…




it is always amazing to observe a snake dislocating its jaws to swallow a prey much bigger than its mouth. Notice the victim is holding a branch with its hind leg and is bleeding.

notice again how the snake skin which is normally green with a yellow hue now shows some purple color between the dilated scales.



I usually spot hedgehogs and chameleons once in a while, then many birds like bee eaters, ibises, a howl, weavers, hamerkops, mousebirds, bulbuls…but a snake, that was a first.
