I was dubious about elephants in South Sudan. It appears that there are plenty. And they are being poached heavily here too, alongside any other animals like the unique Tiang gazelles. Neither the government nor the rebels accept the accusations.

This might be a Maasai man. I definitely met a bunch of people outside my hotel selling bead work. They are from Arusha, I felt sorry for them, being so far away from beautiful Tanzania, away from their cows and families…but they say it sells well and indeed I noticed afterwards that many women love the flip flops decorated with beads.
