This volcano Lengai is bipolar, one day all quiet, barely a puff, then another day…

it looked like Hiroshima.

These pictures are from 2006/07. The beast has been dormant since then.

Same lake on the northern side, that is the real middle of nowhere. Bad luck for this driver and his passengers.

 

That volcano and lake Natron. What a pair! Usually the views are stunning out there.
