It has been a while since posted some pictures of this artistic piece of art that is lake Natron…time to address the issue.
Did I say I love the place? There are other salt lakes in the country, the continuity of the Rift Valley but none are as regular and grandiose as this one. I wish to overfly the salt lakes in Kenya, Sudan one day and compare.
Well this one is unique (for now) because it is the only breeding place for flamingoes in Africa. I said for now because some scumbags are planning to open a salt factory on the shoreline which will most likely chase the flamingoes away like in Kenya 50 years ago. Learning a lesson? Nooo…
