Why use analog films in digital era…well the movies didn’t kill the theaters, photography didn’t kill painting, keyboards didn’t kill handwriting (yet…). In a similar fashion, why drive a vintage car or fly a biplane. Everything vintage is on the rise. Just I never stopped shooting in films. I even bought 2 more film cameras in digital times…

Japanese people at what they do best.
National Day in France, there was a military show at the “Invalides”. Kids were having a blast, they were allowed to climb in various vehicles, talk to armed forces professionals.
Well not only kids had a good time… This man is a “Spahi”, from a unit fitted for the desert, hence the sable cape. It refers to the times when the vehicles were horses or camels. The cape would hide a lot then.

By accident, we ran into the Tour de France arrival in Paris. I’ll do a few posts just on that theme: there were plenty of funny people around. I suspect a cyclist or were American.
That selfie fashion is scary, people seem to spend more time on this trend than visiting the monument or just enjoying the sceneries.

The caption says “4 wheels and 1 umbrella”, that was the logo when the car was presented to the public 60 or so years ago. That summed up the car quite well. I used to have a 2CV like this model, a red one. I miss it, especially in Arusha where I live. It would be perfect on the bumpy roads.

yeah I know I’m a bit late. I’m an amateur photographer, not a pro, I have no angry boss over my head for a deadline.
Here we are at the Champs Elysées for the last kilometers. The crowd was more interesting than the cyclists, for me that is, keen street photographer.

I laughed quite hard at this American dude….
but then 2 Belgian dudes showed up, to my greatest embarrassment… and they were Walloons of course, from my own tribe (the roster is our emblem, what a choice…), sigh.
Add Jean-Claude Van Damme in the picture, a record(one year and half without government which was not a bad thing considering the corrupt bozos we have got now) and so there are days when dating a French girl is a problem.
